A Few Small Changes – Rebranding SGB

For those who follow my on the various social media sites, I have done a small amount of re-branding. Nothing major is changing. Its just that my old (canoe) logo is a hold-over of an older webpage I used to run that covered a lot of outdoor topics in addition to brewing. Here, I’m focused on brewing and brewing science, so a new logo seemed appropriate.

What do you think?

I follow your blog for 18 months now, read every article and watched every video (several times). I am a brewing student in Brussels, Belgium, and your blog helps me tremendously with my thesis (on wild yeast). I just take the opportunity of this new logo (that I like) to express my gratitude.

Cool, and I’m glad to hear that my blog has been of some benefit. Let me know when your work (or thesis) is published – I’d love to read it!

I like the microscope. A 40X objective and methylene blue can save the day.

    Very nice!
A nitpick: The versions with the S G and B above each other look misaligned. Left-flush might not be the best choive in that case.

Its an unfortunate effect of the font I’ve chosen. For IP reasons I’m sticking to open-source fonts, and while I like this one, its not monospaced. Looks fine in the full-text version, but the letter-only does look a tad odd.
