to some it is the <i>Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything<\/i>; to others it is merely the number that falls between 41 and 43. . .<\/p>\n<p>. . .But today, it is the name of my next recipe. \u00a0Motivated by a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/chopandbrew.com\/2013\/09\/04\/chop-brew-episode-12-belgian-dark-strong-ales\/\">Chop &amp; <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/suigenerisbrewing.com\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=636&amp;action=edit\" aria-label=\"Edit \u201cTasting Notes: Summer Lemon Hefeweizen\u201d\">Edit<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/chopandbrew.com\/2013\/09\/04\/chop-brew-episode-12-belgian-dark-strong-ales\/\">Brew<\/a>\u00a0video and a <a href=\"http:\/\/thebrewingnetwork.com\/shows\/The-Jamil-Show\/Belgian-Strong-Dark-The-Jamil-Show-03-26-07\">Jamil show<\/a> webcast, this is intended to be a classical Belgian Dark Strong Ale &#8211; high in alcohol, lightly bodied, long ageing and slow drinking. \u00a0A real treat for most brewers.<\/p>\n<p>This recipe is taken straight off of the Chop &amp; Brew video, aside from some minor adjustments for my system. \u00a0This beer will feature my homemade Belgian Candi Sugar (Links: <a href=\"https:\/\/suigenerisbrewing.com\/index.php\/2013\/09\/10\/making-belgian-candi-sugar\/\">1<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/suigenerisbrewing.com\/index.php\/2013\/10\/06\/belgian-candi-sugar-ii\/\">2<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=25ohU8GfAJk\">Youtube<\/a>), plus a limited release Wyeast yeast (3822-PC &#8211; Belgian Strong Ale &#8211; available in my yeast bank). \u00a0It is lower in alcohol that many beers of this style because a) I want a faster-maturing version, so I can see how my homemade candi sugar works in a beer, and b) I want to send a few bottles of this out for Christmas (edit: and c) because I screwed up my sparge somehow). \u00a0This beer should be bottleable in 6-8 or so weeks, although it will continue to age and improve for 6 or more months in-bottle.<\/p>\n<p>The video that spawned this brew, as well as brew-day notes &amp;
