The Fifty Meter Beer Project Episode 17 – It’s Finally Brew Day!

Wow! After starting this project back in April with the planting of the barley, the fifty meter beer project is finally nearing its end. It’s time to brew some beer! It’s been a heck of a journey to get to this point, and I’m excited to show you how the brew day went.

Recipe:

  • 1.65 kg home-malted Harrington Barley
  • 940 g home-malted Bere Barley
    • Mash 60 min @ 67C, full volume mash (19L)
    • Mash-out @ 76C
  • 12 g @ 5% AA Home-grown Canadian Redvine, 90 min addition
  • 15 g @ 5% AA Home-grown Canadian Redvine, 30 min addition
  • 15 g @ 5% AA Home-grown Canadian Redvine, flameout addition
  • Whirflock
  • Wild yeast
