The Fifty Meter Beer Project Part 16 – Malt Conversion Tests and Recipe Design

Its been a month since my last update, and a lot of progress has been made in my Fifty Meter Beer Project, and with luck we’re a week away from brewday! I malted the Bere barely to create something akin to a brumalt, which will hopefully provide more malt character and bring out more of the Bere’s unique flavour. I also performed a malt conversion test, comparing both the speed of conversion and the gravity yield of my Harrington and Bere malts to Proximity Malt’s base malt. To wrap up, I briefly discuss some of the challenges I see for brewday and how I plan to address them.
