The Fifty Meter Beer Project Part 10 – Harvesting Bere and a Q&A

Welcome to the mid-way point of my attempt to brew a beer entirely from malt, hops, yeast, and water produced within 50 meters (~150 feet) of my home brewery. The first of the two varieties of barley that I am growing this summer is ready for harvest, so I’m going to harvest it today. And while I do that I’m going to answer all of the common questions I have been getting since I started this project.     Optimal! On the blog “Brewing Beer the Hard Way” there is a post on me that concerns home malt producers (and farmers) is titled “Dery from Italy” … the author is a very competent person and we often had exchanged information ….
